The membership fee helps subsidize prices for dance parties, practice

Level 1 is for beginner dancers to teach them the basic steps and build
a foundation for more advanced levels. It is recommended students stay
at this level for 2 to 3 years to get a solid understanding of the
basics. The figures are varied from session to session to broaden the
student’s repertoire of figures.

Level 2 is an intermediate level with Level 1 as a pre-requisite.
Level 2 focuses on the development of technique using more advanced
dance figures. It is recommended that students spend 2-3 years in
Level 2 to ensure their technical ability is well grounded before
moving on.

Level 3 is an advanced level with a very strong technical content
illustrated through very intricate dance figures.

The Club will not be holding auditions in advance of registration as it
did last year to determine if a student is in the proper level.
Instead a student may register in the level he or she feels may be
appropriate for their skill level. The Instructor in the class will
observe the progress of the student within that class, and if the
Instructor feels the student is not ready for that level, he or she
will ask the student to move down to a more appropriate level for the
student’s ability.
